Cyber Forensic Professional- East Africa [CFP (E.A) ®] is a certified and professional Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Training Programme by the Kenya School of Security Management (KSSM). Cyber Forensic Professional-East Africa is aimed at persons who wish to be able to resolve digital, cyber and network security problems, design, develop and manage computing and network solutions for the resolution of cyber security issues as well as resolve digital technology crimes. Those who qualify to the advanced level of this course will have the privilege to use the credential “certified” and such individuals can work as Cyber Security Engineers, Security Architects, Penetration Testers, Computer Forensic Examiner, Computer Forensic Investigator, Electronic Discovery, Incident Response Examiner, Information Security Analyst, Malware Analyst.

This course has been developed with the involvement of key experts in computer science, cyber security, and the digital forensic industry. These experts advised on the skills they seek when recruiting cyber security and digital forensic experts. They are also actively involved in the delivery of this course to our students. Cyber Security Professional-East Africa is therefore carefully structured, designed and delivered. The course is designed for practitioners in the field of cyber security and digital forensic with focus on Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Democratic Republic of Congo. CFP (E.A) ® has been developed under the supervision of KSSM Quality Management Committee made up of cyber security and digital forensic experts.

The Cyber Forensic Professional-East Africa identifies three different impact levels and details the knowledge and behaviours required to excel at each of them. The levels are relevant to all cyber-forensic practitioners regardless of their current and future roles (as employee, a specialist, or a consultant). It is strongly advised that one begin with Foundation Level and then gradually progress to Intermediate and then Advanced Level because each level is designed to provide unique knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful performance in the industry.
